Beehive

The Beehive was a Santa Cruz venue located at 315 Walnut. The name is attributed to the house's yellow color, and boxy Victorian style. Throughout its long and varied career as a venue, the Beehive hosted shows in the front bedroom – which opened up unto a living room which is a horrible example of how not to remodel a classic home. Lots of bands played there, but mostly everyone was too drunk to remember their names. Oliver Brown was there, and probably Sin in Space.

The house has been home to underground musicians and artists as far back as 1995.
